Can you believe it? It’s been thirty years! Or soon will be. I’m really excited about the potential opportunity to go aboard her to see, hear, touch, and even smell the Nassau again; as well as catch up with all my old (now, really old) shipmates again.
Nothing is cast in stone yet, and one reason for this site to be up in the first place is to serve as an effective way to get the word out to all hands as things progress. So please do your part and spread the word.
While this site may appear thus far to be a private party for Nassau plankowners, please note that this not the case. Plankowners have started this reunion concept only because, being the oldest former crewmen, we’re also quite likely the most nostalgic. But the reunion is not about us, it’s about the ship. So if you served aboard during any of the intervening years, this reunion is yours, too. And that means you need to belly up to the bar and contribute to its content.
